About the event
Join Made Wild Adventures to experience one of the most classic routes in the Lake District in a way that feels supported, steady, and genuinely enjoyable.
Starting from Glenridding, we’ll wind our way up alongside Mires Beck, gradually gaining height as Ullswater stretches out behind us for a full day of hiking following the popular grade 1 scramble to the top of Helvellyn, Striding Edge
This is a guided group hike with a qualified mountain leader designed for anyone with a reasonable fitness base who wants to build confidence on the trails, gain some grade 1 scrambling experience, meet like-minded people, and enjoy a day moving through stunning mountain landscapes.
We will of course be taking regular breaks, enjoy some good chat and snacks along the way, and finish the day feeling refreshed and maybe sneak in a little pub visit on the way down.
Location: Glenridding, Lake District National Park
Experience level: Suitable for confident hikers, beginners scrambles and above
Duration: 5-6 hours
Distance: ~13km
Elevation: ~900m
