About the event

Trip Summary

An incredible opportunity to take on the classic Welsh 3000s challenge at an enjoyable pace. Over three days summit all 15 of the summits over 3000ft in Eryri National Park and take in incredible views and famous grade 1 scrambles along the way.

Location: Eryri National Park (Snowdonia), North Wales

Duration: 3 days / 3 nights

Group Size: 6

Difficulty: Intermediate – Ideal if you’ve done mountain hikes, have good fitness before and want to really push yourself

Accommodation: Group lodge / bunkhouse shared accom

The Journey


Day 1 (Sunday): The Snowdon Massif

We’ll start big with Wales’ highest mountain, Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), following the famous red ridge that links its three 3000ft peaks, Snowdon, Garnedd Ugain and the famous ridge scramble Crib Goch. Expect incredible views, a few butterflies, and a massive sense of accomplishment by the end of day one.

  • 12km | ~ 1000m ascent | 6–7 hrs walking

  • Stay: In our booked accommodation (shared hostel style accommodation)


Day 2 (Monday): The Glyderau Ridge

A day of classic Eryri terrain: rocky summits, sweeping ridgelines and quiet mountain tarns. We’ll summit Elidir Fawr, Y Garn, Glyder Fawr, Glyder Fach and Tryfan, some of the most iconic peaks in Wales.

  • 13km | ~ 1200m ascent | 7–8 hrs walking

  • Stay: Return to our accommodation


Day 3 (Tuesday): The Carneddau

The final stretch takes us across the broad, wild Carneddau range, vast, open and peaceful. We’ll summit Pen yr Ole Wen, Carnedd Dafydd, Carnedd Llewelyn and Foel-fras before descending toward the coast at Abergwyngregyn.

  • 20km | ~ 1000m ascent | 7–9 hrs walking

  • Return to our accom for our final night and no doubt a visit to the pub!

Accommodation & Meals

We’ll base ourselves in a self catered hostel or bunkhouse type accommodation for the duration of the trip which means no packing up every day! You’ll have a cosy bed, hot showers, a shared kitchen, and a relaxed communal area for evening meals and debriefs.

What to Bring

A full kit list will be sent on booking, but you’ll need:

  • Sturdy walking boots

  • Waterproof jacket & trousers

  • Day pack

  • Warm layers, hat, gloves

  • Personal snacks & refillable bottle

  • Camera for the mems!


Please be aware this is a multi day trip packed with incredible, challenging and long mountain days. You should have a reasonable level of fitness and confidence walking at heights. Scrambling experience is not neccessary but we will be traversing the famous Crib Goch which an an exposed grade 1 scramble.
