RING OF STEALL

Head into the heart of the Mamores to take on the spectacular Ring of Steall, a classic horseshoe route linking four Munros: An Gearanach, Stob Coire a' Chàirn, Am Bodach and Sgùrr a' Mhàim. Along the way we'll tackle the narrow, rocky ridge of An Garbhanach and the famous Devil's Ridge, with plenty of opportunities to get hands on with the terrain. We'll also pass above the spectacular Steall Falls before finishing our circuit through Glen Nevis.

This is a challenging full day mountain adventure of sustained scrambling and big elevation. There are exposed sections and some straightforward scrambling, but you don't need to be a technical climber. You'll be guided throughout by a qualified Mountain Leader, taking the day at a sensible pace and making the most of the incredible landscape around us. Expect some of the best views in the Scottish Highlands, plenty of laughs and the very satisfying feeling of completing one of Scotland's absolute mountain classics together.

Difficulty: Confident hillwalker with good fitness (20km+ 2000m elevation)

Who's this for:

While not particularly technical, the Ring of Steall is a big undertaking that requires good fitness, hill confidence and steady footing. You should be able to hike continuously at a steady pace for 12 hours and be comfortable with long ascents and descents.

Getting there:

We will begin our hike from the Upper Glen Nevis car park (w3w///edge.remarking.folders). Parking is limited so be mindful to arrive with plenty of time to spare. There is no public transport to the car park but taxi's are available.
