I believe that naivety has got me far in life. An ‘ignorance is bliss’ attitude has taken me many places my young teenage mind could not fathom. I really don’t think it was due to sheer grittiness or willpower, it was genuinely just being completely oblivious to the consequences, which fortunately so far have turned out in my favour.
The problem now is that the older I get, the more risk adverse I become. Why? Maybe it feels like there’s more to lose (in reality there isn’t, I literally only have a cat to my name). Perhaps, the overabundance or information and opinions nowadays is what’s making me second guess everything, maybe a combination of both?
